The Emirates International University, represented by a number of its students, participated in the Fourth Poetry Competition and Festival for University and Community College Students, both public and private. The competition, organized by the Higher Education Sector in cooperation with Azal University for Human Development, is held under the theme "You Are Not Alone." This year's competition coincides with the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution.

Approximately 70 poets from 26 public and private universities and colleges will compete in the three-day competition, which will feature both free and popular poetry. The competition will be supervised by a jury composed of poets Al-Harith Al-Shamiri and Nabil Al-Adini.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Duais highlighted the importance of student activities in revitalizing stagnant waters and discovering and developing talents and creativity among university and college students.

He praised the role of the General Administration of Activities in the Higher Education Sector in initiating these activities at the university level, as they contribute to instilling values, developing the cultural, social, and scientific capabilities of young people, and exchanging experiences and knowledge.

The opening ceremony, attended by directors of student activities at public and private universities and community colleges, included segments and samples of poems by the competition participants.
