During the inauguration, the Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, emphasized the university's continued commitment to supporting such volunteer campaigns, which embody the values of goodness and giving and encourage students and staff at the university to promote the principles of humanitarian assistance and social responsibility. He emphasized the importance of blood donation, as it provides blood units for thalassemia patients, hereditary blood disorders, and other patients who require blood transfusions.

The campaign, which was also implemented in coordination with the academic medical team and the University Student Forum, included screening donors, including staff, faculty members, and students, before they donated, to ensure their bodies were prepared and their eligibility.

During the campaign, awareness brochures about blood donation and its benefits were distributed. The campaign witnessed a large turnout from university members and students, with more than 90 blood donors. The campaign was also accompanied by a charity bazaar, the proceeds of which will benefit patients with thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders.
