A scientific visit for second-year Architectural Engineering students to the Haraz region of Sana'a as part of the Architectural Construction course

With the aim of linking theory with practice, the Architectural Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, in cooperation with the University Activities Department, organized a scientific visit for second-year Architectural Engineering students to the Haraz region of Sana'a as part of the Architectural Construction course. The students were accompanied by Dr. Muhammad Qasim Awn Al-Madhaji and Engineer Zainab Muhammad Al-Akhali, professors of the Architectural Construction course.

 

During the visit, the students toured Al-Hatib village and learned about the construction methods of buildings with load-bearing walls. They studied traditional elements such as arches, stone foundations, and methods of building courses of varying thicknesses. They listened to a comprehensive explanation from the course professor about the details of implementing the construction of historical buildings and the materials used in a comprehensive manner.

 

This visit is part of the scientific visits program organized by the department for its students to familiarize them with the methods, techniques, and practices used in historical buildings.

 

 At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their happiness with the visit, thanking the officials for their cooperation in organizing it.
