Conclusion of the Advanced First Aid Course for Human Medicine Students at the United Arab Emirates University in Cooperation with the Yemeni Red Crescent

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Emirates International University concluded today, Thursday, an intensive training course in advanced first aid for human medicine students. The course was held in cooperation with the Yemen Red Crescent Society and the university's Training and Rehabilitation Center, with the participation of approximately 200 male and female pre-clinical students.
During three days of theoretical and practical training, participants received field supervision from a group of Yemeni Red Crescent-certified trainers: Dr. Abdul Salam Al Sharif, Dr. Ahmed Al Joulbi, Dr. Manal Al Raboui, Dr. Afnan Al Joulbi, Dr. Bushra, and Dr. Kamal Al Kamel. Students learned advanced skills in dealing with emergency situations, including needles, cauterization, and suturing, rapid examination of the injured, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway obstruction, mass casualty, and pediatric emergencies.
At the closing ceremony, Professor Sadiq Abdul-Mughni, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and Head of the Department of Human Medicine, emphasized that this course represents a qualitative addition in preparing students and equipping them with advanced practical skills before entering the clinical phase. He praised the efforts of the Yemeni Red Crescent in supporting the training process and emphasized the university's commitment to linking academic aspects with practical application to serve the community.
