Launch of the "From the Institute to the UAE University" event with broad participation from English language institutes

In an effort to strengthen academic transition bridges and anticipate a promising future for students, the Emirates International University launched the "From the Institute to the University" event this morning, Wednesday, August 6, 2025. The two-day event will feature the participation of eight of the most prominent English language institutes operating in the capital, Sana'a, and will be attended by a large number of high school graduates, interested university students, and academic and administrative staff.
The event was opened by the University President, Dr. Khaled Salah, in the presence of the University Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, and a number of deans. In his opening remarks, the University President emphasized the importance of this initiative, which embodies the knowledge partnership between the institutes and the university, opens up broad educational horizons for students, and allows them to make a smooth and stimulating transition to university education within a sophisticated academic environment.
The event targets English language institute students who are about to transition to university. The university provided them with the opportunity to learn about the various academic programs and future majors, along with exclusive registration privileges, offers, and scholarships.
The event, which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, will feature special offers from the institutes and the university, awards, diploma grants, and English language courses as follows:
100 free full scholarships for the English Language Diploma
200 partial scholarships for the English Language Diploma
1,000 training courses offered by participating institutes
Special registration offers provided by the university for institute students
Introductory sessions and field trips of the university campuses
Workshops and development seminars to enhance students' awareness and academic paths
As part of the program accompanying the event, a seminar titled "How to Choose Your University Major?" was held. The seminar was presented by international trainer Dr. Ahmed Al-Julbi, and focused on the mechanisms for making the right decision and linking personal passion with the requirements of the job market. He emphasized that "the decision you make today... is what shapes your future tomorrow."
The event will also host an introductory seminar on Thursday about the DAAD exam, offered to students wishing to study or work in Germany. The seminar, presented by trainer Mariam Masawi, aims to educate students about international educational opportunities and their requirements.
The event will continue until Thursday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on campus, amidst a lively, interactive atmosphere and the opportunity to win prizes and gifts. The seminar aims to support students in making their fateful decisions with confidence and open the doors to their academic future with professionalism and awareness.
