MBA Students Visit Shafaqua Pharmaceuticals

As part of its efforts to enhance practical application and connect academic concepts with practical realities, the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Emirates International University organized a field visit for MBA students to the headquarters of Shafaqua Pharmaceuticals.
The visit aimed to provide students with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the work environment in the pharmaceutical industry and understand the company's role in covering the local market and contributing to supporting the national economy. The visit also focused on enabling students to learn about practical practices in the fields of production and operations management, quality, marketing, and strategic management.
The visit included an introductory tour of the company's various administrative and technical departments, during which Mr. Abdul Karim Al Shahari, the company's training officer, provided a detailed explanation of the production and development stages of the pharmaceutical products manufactured by the company.
The visit was attended by Professor Abdullah Al-Qurashi, Dean of the College and instructor of the Production and Operations Management course; Dr. Manal Al-Asbahi, instructor of the Strategic Management course; and Ms. Samah Hassan, Graduate Studies Coordinator. They emphasized the importance of such visits in enhancing students' skills and linking theory with practical application, within the framework of cooperation between the Emirates International University and Shafaqua Pharmaceuticals.
