In a distinguished academic achievement that reflects the level of scientific and practical preparation of Civil Engineering students, a number of students from the department discussed their graduation projects for the academic year 1446 AH. The discussion was attended by Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufri, President of the University; Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary-General of the University; Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri, Head of the Civil Engineering Department; and a number of department staff and students.

The session opened with a discussion of the graduation project of the first group, consisting of students Mohammed Abdul Mohsen Bazoumah and Fahd Mahmoud Saeed, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Suleiman Ismail Al-Safi and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri. The project addressed the design and analysis of an 11-story reinforced concrete building located in Sana'a, used for residential and commercial purposes.

The project is a comprehensive guide for structural engineers, reviewing various technical requirements and basic conditions in the areas of design, inspection, and implementation, with a focus on the moment-resisting frame system. It was presented in clear, scientific Arabic language, suitable for both novice and experienced engineers.

The second group, consisting of students Ali Nasser Ali Attia, Abdulrahman Essam Al-Warafi, and Ibrahim Adel Al-Mahfdi, presented their project entitled "The Spirit of the City Tower," under the supervision of Professor Dr. Suleiman Al-Safi. The project consists of 13 floors, 48.2 meters high, and uses a dual-system structural system that balances safety, efficiency, and modern seismic standards. The students used the ROBOT program to model the building and analyze its response to various loads, with a precise assessment of drift, displacement, base shear, and reinforcement.

The third group, comprising Ahmed Saqr Ahmed Al-Hajji, Jihad Al-Ammari, Anwar Al-Bahm, and Rassam Al-Samat, presented their project titled "Al-Wafa Commercial Tower." The design is for an 11-story building with a basement for parking, covering an area of 1,385 square meters. The design was implemented according to the American earthquake and wind resistance system, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Suleiman Al-Safi.

The fourth group presented their project: a 12-story residential tower designed to be earthquake-resistant. The project was submitted by students: Salah Mujahid Nasher Al-Jandabi, Abdul Karim Mohammed Al-Matari, Zaher Tawfiq Al-Qadi, and Osama Abdo Al-Dubhi.

During the discussion, University President Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Moufri praised the academic and professional level of the projects, saying, "We are proud of the professional projects presented by our students, which reflect the efficiency of the educational outcomes at the Emirates International University. These projects go beyond the theoretical aspect; they also embody the student's ability to apply international engineering standards using the latest software and systems, and this is what we aspire to in all our academic programs."

Dr. Al-Moufri concluded his speech by emphasizing the university's full support for all student initiatives and its continued commitment to providing a pioneering educational environment that keeps pace with the requirements of the local and international labor market.
