The Information Technology Department at the College of Engineering at the Emirates International University concluded today, Tuesday, the discussion of the graduation projects of the Information Technology Department at the College of Engineering for the academic year 1446 AH (corresponding to 2024-2025 AD). The projects, which totaled 21, reflected the level of excellence and innovation achieved by the department's students in various fields of modern technology.

Group (20) presented their project entitled: "Virtual Chemistry Laboratory for the Secondary Level," under the supervision of Dr. Hisham Bin Aqlan. The project was implemented by a group of students: Asala Al-Ansi, Hanin Haroun, Safia Al-Qaifi, Rana Al-Wazir, Alia Al-Alimi, and Malak Al-Sanbani, and under the supervision of Dr. Hisham Aqlan.

The project presented an innovative technological solution: a software package to simulate a virtual chemistry laboratory aligned with the curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education. It contains an integrated database of chemical compounds and an interactive environment for conducting scientific experiments without the need for real laboratories, contributing to cost reduction and providing a safe and effective learning environment.

The project was developed using advanced design and programming tools and techniques such as Unreal Engine, Blender, and Photoshop. The discussion committee included: Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Khawlani, Assistant Professor Dr. Farouq Al-Fahidi, Dr. Hisham Bin Aqlan (supervisor and examiner), and Engineer Zaid Al-Washli.

The final group (21) presented its project, entitled "Web Application for Monitoring and Managing Epidemic Risks," implemented by students Ayman Mayad, Amjad Al-Abbadi, and Ayham Sharada, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Jameel Rashid and Professor Ahlam Al-Hamdani.

The project aims to support the Ministry of Health's efforts to monitor and track epidemics and infectious diseases in their early stages. This platform is deployed in health centers across cities and rural areas, with an integrated system that links directly to the Ministry's general administration. This contributes to making quick and effective decisions to limit the spread of diseases.

Participating in the project discussion were: Assistant Professor Farouk Al-Fahidi, Dr. Hisham Bin Aqlan, and the Dean of the College, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, who praised the quality of the projects and their ability to address real-life issues of concern to Yemeni society. He emphasized the university's commitment to supporting and empowering its students to be agents of change and development.

These projects are part of the Emirates International University's commitment to enhancing the applied and innovative skills of its students by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience to address real-life challenges with innovative technical plans and solutions.
