As part of the Emirates International University's efforts to promote a culture of technological innovation and graduate talent capable of making a difference in the world of cybersecurity, a student team from the Information Security Department discussed a distinguished graduation project on Sunday titled "Rased, an Artificial Intelligence-Based Antivirus System." This project represents a qualitative addition to the field of smart digital protection.

The innovative project was implemented by students Nasrallah Ahmed Ahmed Musaed and Ahmed Adnan Yahya Al Najjar, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Jameel Rashid and Assistant Supervisor Eng. Alia Al Arasi. It is one of the fruits of the stimulating educational environment provided by the university, which supports research and innovation in modern technology.

The Rased system aims to provide smart and rapid protection for users against cyber threats, relying on artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to detect malware and suspicious files without the need for constant updates. The system also features a user-friendly and secure interface, in addition to a parallel disk scanning feature, which contributes to accelerating the full scanning process and improving performance.

Rased offers a professional user experience that includes advanced security tools, such as automatic isolation of infected files, real-time scanning, and intelligent storage media recognition. This enhances the system's ability to combat cyberattacks and protect devices from emerging threats.

The discussion committee consisted of: Dr. Jameel Rashid, Head of the Cybersecurity Department; Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department; Dr. Malik Al-Jabri, Faculty Member; and Eng. Alia Al-Arasi, Academic Coordinator of the Department. The committee also included Dr. Ahmed Yafaa, Head of the Architecture and Interior Design Department.

The committee praised the project, considering it a true model of qualitative educational outcomes that reflect the readiness of its graduates to confidently enter the labor market and contribute effectively to developing technical solutions that serve society and enhance its digital resilience.
