The Academic Accreditation Council Conducts a Field Visit for Programmatic Accreditation of the Information Technology Program at the Emirates International University

This morning, the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council for Higher Education conducted a field visit by a team of external reviewers to the Emirates International University. This visit is part of the procedures for obtaining programmatic accreditation for the Information Technology Program.
At the beginning of the visit, an official meeting was held, chaired by Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Shuaibi, Vice President of the Council, and attended by Dr. Nasser Al-Mufri, President of the University; Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, Vice President of the University; Dr. Fouad Hanash, Secretary General of the University; Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; and Dr. Ibrahim Fareh, Dean of the College of Engineering.
At the beginning of the visit, a meeting was held in which Dr. Al-Shuaibi emphasized that today's visits by the external reviewers are intended to complete the programmatic accreditation procedures for the program. During the visit, they will review the evidence and proof, as well as the facilities and equipment.
Meetings were also held as part of the program accreditation requirements, emphasizing the importance of this procedure in verifying the evidence and testimonials provided and ensuring their compliance with the program accreditation procedures manual. He also expressed his best wishes to the team of external reviewers, headed by Professor Yahya Al-Ashmouri, and including Dr. Maher Al-Sanabani and Dr. Bilal Al-Fuhaidi, as well as to the Council's team of experts, including Dr. Musa Ghorab, Director General of Systems; Dr. Huda Al-Sanhani, Director General of Accreditation; Dr. Hussein Hanash, Director of the Internal Audit Department; and the media team.
Dr. Yahya Al-Ashmouri, head of the external review team, also reviewed the field visit plan, which will be implemented over the three days allocated for the visit. He explained that the academic criteria have been distributed over specific timescales to ensure comprehensive evaluation.
In turn, the University President, Dr. Nasser Al-Mufri, welcomed the review team, headed by the Vice President of the Council. The University President also expressed his happiness with this visit, which targets the university's second academic program. He emphasized the university's commitment to working in accordance with academic accreditation requirements and approved standards, praising the Council's efforts to support and develop the quality of higher education.
The field visit program included a number of meetings with representatives of academic standards, followed by a field visit that included classrooms, the library, lecture halls, the Student Affairs Department, and the control room, with the aim of verifying the infrastructure and educational facilities.
It is worth noting that the review team will continue its work over the next two days until all steps of the field visit plan are completed.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi, the Program Coordinator, Dr. Hisham Aqlan, and a number of academics and university staff.
