With leadership and innovation, students from the Emirates International University develop a construction project management system, NovaTrack.

In a move that reaffirms the leadership and academic and innovative excellence of Emirates International University students, students from the Department of Information Technology in the College of Engineering and Information Technology discussed an exceptional graduation project. This project presented an integrated electronic system for managing construction projects, called NovaTrack.
The student team, composed of Abdul Wahab Adel Masoud Al-Rayashi, Muhammad Mahmoud Ali Hanzel, Naji Ahmed Abdul Hamid Al-Basha, and Muhammad Muhammad Abdullah Al-Najhi, excelled in developing this innovative system under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Nasser Al-Khawlani and Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Humairi. This achievement is befitting the university's ambitions and mission to cultivate future leaders. Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department, and Dr. Hisham Aqlan were also present.
NovaTrack is not just an electronic system; it is an integrated vision for intelligently and seamlessly managing construction projects. It connects all stakeholders—from owners to engineers and contractors—through a single interactive platform. The system provides advanced tools for tracking work progress, efficiently managing tasks and resources, documenting real-time reports, and generating smart alerts to support immediate decision-making.
The project aims to address traditional challenges that have long hindered construction projects, such as poor communication, delayed completion, mismanagement of tasks and resources, and limited transparency. This makes it an ideal technical solution for a more productive and professional future.
NovaTrack provides each user with a dynamic, personalized dashboard that displays accurate information about project status and tasks, enabling quick decisions based on real, continuously updated data.
The students built NovaTrack using the latest programming techniques using Laravel server-side services and MySQL databases, while designing a secure and user-friendly user experience. The team also embodied the spirit of innovation by applying the Agile methodology to ensure the highest levels of flexibility and keep pace with evolving user needs.
With this achievement, Emirates International University students demonstrate that they are not just makers of graduation projects, but rather builders of real digital solutions that seek to develop various national sectors and push them to new horizons of efficiency and excellence.
