The Emirates International University organized a speech event on Monday to commemorate the anniversary of the Scream under the theme "The Scream in the Face of the Arrogant."
The event, attended by the university's president, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufri, the secretary-general, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the cultural activist Zakaria Mohammed, and the university's academic and administrative staff, emphasized that commemorating the Scream is an important milestone from which we must draw lessons that are useful in our current reality. Foremost among these lessons is the importance of a sense of responsibility and concern for the nation's issues.
He also explained that the cry in the face of the arrogant, launched by the Martyr Leader, may God be pleased with him, represented a stance that must be taken against the arrogance and hegemony of the Americans and Jews, and a rejection of the other option, namely silence, submission, and surrender. He called for the necessity for everyone to take a stand against the enemies of God, a stance that has distinguished the Yemeni people, who have demonstrated a faith-based stance in their support for the mujahideen in Gaza. He also called on everyone to boycott American and Israeli goods as a foundation, pillar, and effective weapon against the American-Zionist project.
Cultural activist Zakaria Muhammad explained in his speech during the event that the Martyr Leader launched the cry to represent a wise stance in a time when silence has become wisdom and intelligence. It was not a random step, but rather a deliberate one based on the spirit of the Holy Quran. It has an impact on building the souls of those who raise it, shattering the souls of the enemies, and building the nation's position so that it becomes capable of confrontation and victory.
He addressed the stages of the slogan, the concepts and connotations of its vocabulary, its importance in directing the compass of hostility toward the true enemy of the nation, the challenges and difficulties the Quranic project faced in attempts to thwart and eliminate it, and the results it has achieved today in unifying the nation's ranks and achieving its renaissance, dignity, and strength.
He explained that the slogan was born from a sense of responsibility, suffering, and innocence regarding the enemies of God. He noted that the martyr leader, through the Quranic project he established and the slogan "The Scream," was able to shatter the wall of silence and fear at a time when the nation was living in subservience and submission to the forces of hegemony and arrogance.
He stated that commemorating the Scream is a message to the entire world that the Quranic project and the slogan "The Scream" will continue to confront tyrants. He emphasized that whenever enemies seek to stop the Scream, it will, by divine providence, increase in its spread.
He pointed out that the martyr leader, Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, who launched the slogan "The Scream" and the economic boycott of enemies early on, was inspired by the greatness of the Quranic project he presented to the nation.
He pointed out that the slogan is particularly important at this stage, as the Yemeni people confront the leaders of infidelity and arrogance, "America, America, and Israel." He explained the importance of strengthening steadfastness and societal awareness, and the slogan's role in declaring disavowal of the nation's enemies, confronting the aggression's conspiracies, and thwarting its plans. This is embodied today in the stances of the Yemeni people, both leadership and people, in supporting Gaza and the Palestinian people and confronting the American and Zionist aggression.
