Launch of the discussion of graduation projects for students in the College of Engineering and Information Technology for the academic year 1446 AH (2024-2025 AD)

The College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Emirates International University launched today, Sunday, the discussion of graduation projects for students in all majors for the academic year 1446 AH (2024-2025 AD). The ceremony was attended by the University President, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Muwafari, the University Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, the Head of the Mechatronics Department, Dr. Radwan Al-Badaji, the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department, Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, the Head of the Architecture and Interior Design Department, Dr. Ahmed Yafaa, the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Hani Damaj, the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Farouq Al-Fuhaidi, the Head of the Medical Equipment Department, Dr. Mohammed Al-Alafi, the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri, the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Dr. Jameel Rashid, the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Dr. Hisham Aqlan, a faculty member in the department, and a number of student graduation project supervisors, faculty members, and their assistants.

 

At the opening ceremony, the University President, Dr. Nasser Al-Muwafari, emphasized that the University is committed to supporting scientific research and innovation, and that discussing graduation projects is one of the most important activities that support these goals.

 

The University President added that graduation projects are a great opportunity for students to apply the knowledge they have acquired during their years of study and develop their skills and research capabilities.

 

 He emphasized the importance of ensuring that this year's student graduation projects live up to previous years' projects, which have topped national competitions. He extended his thanks and appreciation to the college's deanship, department heads, and all staff for their efforts in ensuring student excellence.

 

Approximately 450 male and female students from various departments in the College of Engineering and Information Technology are scheduled to discuss their projects this year. They will present their projects to specialized discussion committees, which will evaluate their projects and award them the appropriate grades for each project.

 

The first day witnessed the discussion of two IT projects. The first project was:

An online store using augmented reality technology, presented by students Nazeeli Nabil Al-Nazili, Mazen Mohammed Al-Majmi, Sakhr Ali Al-Sharhi, and Habib Al-Rahman Nabil. It was supervised by Prof. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami and Engineer Ahlam Al-Hamdani.

 

The second group presented their project:

An intelligent decision support system. The project was submitted by students: Kinan Adel Al-Aghbari, Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Al-Jaafari, Ahmed Wahib Al-Shaibani, Hashem Ahmed Al-Sharmani, Iman Abdullah Al-Sudaie, and Iman Rashid Al-Mahfdi. It was supervised by Prof. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami and Engineer Ahlam Al-Hamdani.

 

The departments are scheduled to continue discussing their students' projects over the coming period.
