An expanded meeting for the academic and administrative staff at the Emirates International University to prepare for the month of Ramadan and launch the Ramadan program
The Emirates International University organized, today, Wednesday, Shaaban 28, 1446 AH, corresponding to February 26, 2025 AD, an expanded meeting for the academic and administrative staff of the university employees, to prepare and get ready for the holy month of Ramadan, and launch the Ramadan program plan.
During the meeting, the directives of the Leader were presented regarding Ramadan preparation and implementing the Ramadan program for the year 1446 AH, and the attendees listened to a lecture by the Leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on receiving and preparing for the holy month of Ramadan, during which he reviewed the virtues of the month of the Qur’an, the month of faith education and the refinement of souls.
In the Ramadan preparation lecture, the Leader pointed out the keenness of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him and his family, to welcome the blessed month and prepare for it starting from the month of Rajab, due to the opportunities, goodness, blessings and gifts it contains, which requires everyone to prepare souls, set priorities and strive to seek acts of obedience.
The Leader also touched on what the month of Ramadan represents as a station for educating and purifying the soul, getting rid of its sediments and negative effects, and emerging from its dispersion and problems imposed by the pressures of life throughout the year, so that souls rise and their rust is removed, pointing to the negative impact on a person in the event of his weakness in the face of his whims or his laziness and weakness of his will and following his desires.
The President of the University, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufri, opened the meeting with a speech in which he spoke about the importance of preparing for the month of Ramadan, and exploiting this blessed month to draw closer to Allah Almighty, and strengthening the values of faith and morals. Calling for benefiting from the Ramadan program and Ramadan lectures of the Leader, which aim to strengthen the connection with the Holy Quran and adherence to the faith identity and Islamic culture.
For his part, Secretary-General Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash pointed out that the holy month of Ramadan is a great opportunity to rearrange our priorities and renew our relationship with God Almighty, noting that the month of Ramadan is not just abstaining from food and drink, but rather it is a school of faith that teaches us the deep awareness that we are able to renew ourselves and rise spiritually and intellectually.
During the meeting, a number of procedures were approved, including interest and interaction with the Ramadan program, starting from the preparation and preparation stage to the implementation, follow-up and evaluation stage, and providing the requirements for its success.
