A scientific visit for first-level civil and architectural engineering students to Al-Abraj Al-Hadithah Concrete Company

The College of Engineering and Information Technology - Civil Engineering and Architecture Departments organized a scientific visit the day before yesterday for first-level students of the two departments, accompanied by the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Dr. Ahmed Yafaa, and the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the stages of concrete production and its various types, and to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the work environment in concrete companies, and to learn about the latest technologies used in the concrete industry, to link theoretical study with practical application, and to broaden students' horizons and prepare them for the labor market.
During the visit, the students were briefed on the company's laboratory, how aggregate types are sifted, and how concrete experiments are conducted, and the selection and testing of samples that make up the concrete mixture, their proportions and quantities.
After that, the students learned about the main automatic towers for concrete production, how to mix and load into the central mixers, and how to view the concrete cube basins as well as the concrete products that come from the main concrete waste and benefit from them in some infrastructure facilities such as sewage manholes and security and traffic barriers.
