Yesterday, Wednesday, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the University organized a scientific seminar for students of the Civil Engineering Department on the importance of construction chemicals and insulation systems in improving the performance and protection of concrete structures in cooperation with Tek Insulation Company, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, the Head of the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, Dr. Ahmed Yafaa, and the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri.
The seminar addressed the nature of construction chemicals and their importance in protecting concrete structures and improving construction work and their types such as concrete additives, repair and rehabilitation products, insulating materials and industrial floors.
The seminar also presented examples and samples of products from Tek Insulation agencies such as the Greek ISOMAT and the Bahraini Gulf Company for the Manufacture of Bitumen Sheets and Coatings, and explained and presented practical examples of the uses of the products and integrated insulation systems.
