Launching practical training for students of the Department of Medical Equipment Engineering, third level, at the Republican Hospital

The Department of Medical Equipment Engineering at the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Emirates University launched practical training for students of the third level at the Republican Hospital. In the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr. Muhammad Al-Alafi, and the Head of the Maintenance Department at the Republican Hospital, Eng. Samir Salah.
The practical training, which lasts for 6 weeks (two days each week in coordination with the hospital engineers), aims to link the theoretical aspect with the practical aspect and achieve integration between what students receive at the university and what is real in the labor market, and to provide students with the skills and practical experiences that qualify them to enter the labor market with full competence and confidence.
The students, who were divided into groups during the training, learned about the different departments in the hospital and the type of medical devices in each department, as well as learning about the maintenance procedures for medical devices, the nature of work in maintaining medical devices in the hospital, in addition to performing practical maintenance for the various medical devices in the hospital departments.
