A scientific visit for the Department of Architecture, second level, to the Haraz area of Sana'a as part of the architectural construction course

With the aim of linking the theoretical aspect with the practical aspect, the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, in cooperation with the University Activities Department, implemented a scientific visit for the students of the second level department, to the Haraz area of Sana'a, as part of the architectural construction course, accompanied by Dr. Muhammad Qasim Al-Madhaji, the course professor.
During the visit, the students toured the historic village of Al-Hijrah and the village of Al-Hatib and learned about the construction methods of buildings with load-bearing walls, and studied traditional elements such as arches and stone foundations and methods of building courses of different thicknesses. They listened to a comprehensive explanation by the course professor, about the details of implementing the construction of historical buildings, and the materials used comprehensively.
This visit comes within the framework of the scientific visits program organized by the department for its students to introduce them to the methods, techniques and practices used in historical buildings.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their happiness with this visit, extending their thanks to those concerned for their cooperation in organizing this visit.
