Deputy Minister of Education inaugurates the Architecture, Interior Design and Artificial Intelligence Exhibitions at the Emirates International University

On Monday, Rajab 6, 1446 AH, corresponding to January 6, 2025 AD, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, inaugurated the second scientific exhibition for first-level students in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, and the first exhibition for students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the College of Engineering at the Emirates International University.

 

The Deputy Minister, accompanied by the Executive Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Fouad Hassan Abdul Razzaq, the President of the University, Dr. Nasser Al-Mofri, and the Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Hanash, toured the exhibition wings and its contents, listening to the Head of the Department, Dr. Ahmed Yafaa, about the nature of the exhibition, which included about 30 projects ranging from residential, service and commercial projects, villas, and designs for public gardens, parks and green spaces, and a vision for rehabilitating the Dar Salam roundabout and roundabout according to modern developments, and about 70 models of concrete buildings, metal structures and covering spaces to achieve sustainability and environmental axes.

 

 They also viewed the Interior Design Exhibition Pavilion, which included 47 designs for interior technical offices with modern specifications from the creativity and productions of first-level students, which embodied the basics and principles of design in architecture and interior design, which were projected into artistic works and creative models that combined the cognitive level with practical application and the summary of their academic journey for the first year. 

 

The Deputy Minister and Executive Director of the Information Technology Center and university leaders also opened the first scientific exhibition for second-level students in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the College of Engineering, which included the creation of websites for virtual companies and innovative and creative projects that embodied the skills and abilities of students to transform their ideas and visions into tangible, realistic projects that serve the nation. 

 

 They listened to the head of the department, Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, and the project owners explaining the ideas and types of projects implemented by the second-level students, which varied between websites and electronic companies for "booking airline tickets, games, news, restaurants and coffee shops, providing services, sales offers, exhibitions for buying and selling cars, watch brands, stores selling perfumes, gifts, accessories, wedding supplies and requirements, sweets, electronic exhibitions, real estate, home projects, an electronic library and archaeological landmarks." 

 

They also learned about the progress of the educational process, the university's buildings and colleges and their various facilities, as well as the progress of the educational process in the colleges of human medicine, dentistry and mechatronics engineering and the availability of medical laboratories and modern technical equipment. 

 

The Deputy Minister of Education praised the capabilities and educational environment that the UAE University possesses, which is reflected in the level of development of the educational process in the country, stressing that the university is taking confident steps towards leadership and scientific and academic excellence.

 

Dr. Al-Duais noted the steps taken by the university in implementing its commitments and pledges in development and modernization and following the strategic planning methodology to achieve successes and excellence in its educational and academic performance to ensure obtaining qualified outputs that meet the needs of the labor market. 

 

The Deputy Minister praised the scientific level of the students, which was reflected in their scientific projects that they implemented and displayed at the exhibition. 

 

For his part, the President of the University, Dr. Al-Mufri, confirmed that the second scientific exhibition for students of the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, and the first exhibition for students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence in the College of Engineering come within the various projects and activities of the university that it implements in various fields to highlight the capabilities and skills of students and encourage them to be creative and innovative and sponsor them until they transform them into realistic projects that serve the process of construction and development. 

 

Dr. Al-Mufri pointed out the university's keenness to provide all requirements and provide facilities for students and its commitment to providing advanced training programs in various specializations to hone their cognitive and applied skills and help them implement their ideas and transform their projects into a tangible reality that meets the needs of the labor market and is able to compete in the local and regional labor market. 

 

 They were accompanied during the opening by the deans of colleges, heads of departments, the activities officer, and a number of faculty members.
