The University President Participates in the Consultative Meeting of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research with Private Universities

The University President, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mofri, participated in the consultative meeting of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, which was held today, Wednesday, 13 Rabi` Al-Akhir 1446 AH corresponding to October 16, 2024 AD, at the Ministry’s General Diwan and included the presidents of private universities, headed by the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hassan Al-Saadi, and attended by the Deputy Minister, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, and a number of leaders of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hassan Al-Saadi, stressed the importance of the role of private universities as a basic counterpart to government universities in enhancing and developing capabilities, developing human resources, and providing state institutions and the labor market with qualified cadres in various specializations.
The Minister of Education pointed out the importance of concerted efforts and everyone’s awareness of their responsibilities to ensure enhancing the elements of success of the general performance of private universities and achieving the desired goals.
The Minister directed the formation of a committee headed by the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research to study the mechanisms for developing the level of performance and scheduling the priorities of higher education and the most prominent problems and difficulties facing them and developing proposed solutions and treatments for them.
Minister Al-Saadi appreciated the academic and research role of private universities and their contributions to advancing the educational process and describing academic programs that keep pace with global developments and their role in graduating competencies that contribute to the process of economic construction and development.
