Conclusion of the Scientific Day event to discuss graduation research for fourth batch human medicine students

 Today, Sunday, the University’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences concluded the Scientific Day event to discuss graduation research for students of the Department of Human Medicine, in the presence of the University President, Dr. Nasser Al-Moufari, the University Vice President, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, the University Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Hanash, and the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Professor Dr. Saleh. Al-Dhaheri, Deputy Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sadiq Abdul-Mughni, and a number of academics, administrators, and parents. 

 The second scientific day witnessed a distinguished presentation of graduation research that dealt with important and diverse medical topics, as the students of the fourth batch presented the results of their research, which was characterized by accuracy and objectivity, and which reflected their research skills and high scientific abilities. 

 At the conclusion of the event, the President of the University, Dr. Nasser Al-Mofari, praised the outstanding efforts of the students in preparing their research, noting the importance of this research in supplementing and developing medical knowledge. He also praised the efforts of the Dean of the College, the faculty members, and the supporting staff in supervising and guiding the students. Emphasizing the importance of scientific research in developing the medical profession and improving health services provided to society. 

 The university president also sent a message to the graduates urging them to continue learning and learn about the latest developments in the medical field, and to be the best ambassadors for their university in various medical fields. 

 The student groups presented their research on the final day, which addressed health problems, diseases and epidemics such as depression and colon, through visual presentations distributed on a number of important topics as follows: 

 1. The prevalence of depression and its associated factors among cancer patients at the National Oncology Center - Sanaa. 

 The research was submitted by the students: Nawal Al-Ezzi Al-Mallahi, Ayat Mahmoud Al-Ahdal, Azal Ahmed Shaabin, Hoda Muhammad Hajam, Samar Muhammad Al-Mikhlafi, Omaima Alwan Al-Jand, Sawsan Abdo Al-Sharabi, Rawan Abdullah Wans, Omaima Mansour Al-Amiri, Zainab Abdel-Wahed Dahan, Sahar Hussein Ali. Under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Al-Washli. 

 2. The prevalence of irritable bowel syndrome and its associated factors among medical students (2023-2024). 

 The research was presented by students: Hossam Mansour Ghouth, Muhammad Abd al-Rahim Abd al-Warith, Ayman Nabil Shammasi, Faisal Ali Abu Ali, Hussein Muhammad Bamshams, Hussam Abdou Naji, Fath Nasser al-Aidaroos, Abdullah Abd al-Kafi al-Adeeb, Abd al-Hakim Saleh Nasher, Muhammad Muhammad Shanin. It is supervised by Dr. Muammar Badi. 

 The supervisory committees and discussion committees were composed of: A. Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, Dean of the College, and Dr. Muammar Badi, Dr. Noura Al-Awadi, and Dr. Abeer Al-Washli as external discussants and main supervisors of graduation research. 

 The committee praised the efforts made by the students and their supervisors in completing their research on time and the scientific value of the research that advances to postgraduate research. 

 At the conclusion of the scientific day, the students honored the university and college leadership and the supervision and discussion committees, in appreciation of their efforts in supporting the students during their educational journey at the university.
