The Department of Human Medicine, Emirates International University, has an idea of being accredited locally and regionally, striving for excellence in medical education, training and scientific research. It also aims to prepare and qualify students with clinical competencies and skills to be in a position to professionally serve the community. Hence, the human medicine program was prepared and developed in accordance with international standards and criteria through which all methods that would enhance the student's scientific and clinical skills have been taken into account.
Mission
Preparing physicians of a highly professional and competitive caliber at the local and regional levels; and creating an optimal medical learning environment that contributes to the preparation of physicians characterized by professional competence, health integrity and the ability to research to provide outstanding medical care that serves the community and contributes to solving its problems.
Objectives
Preparing and qualifying physicians with high clinical skills and a high degree of responsibility and leadership.
Adopting non-traditional ways to develop practical and clinical skills of the students, and providing academic, health, material and social support to them.
Preparing students to perfect their skills as physicians and to professionally practice their profession throughout their lives, and building their capacity to take the initiative by introducing and adapting to the latest developments in medicine and health care.
Preparing graduates for teamwork, effective communication and ethical behaviors.
Preparing graduates to pursue postgraduate studies and value the significance of continuous learning.
Attracting and recruiting faculty members of a high degree of knowledge on long-term contracts.
Obtaining academic and institutional accreditation, and following up the performance and development of the educational, research and service process of the college through the Quality Assurance Unit.
