The College of Engineering launches the fourth-level field training course for oil and gas engineering students in the field of Drilling Fluid Engineering

 The College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university inaugurated this morning the field training course for oil and gas engineering students of the fourth level (graduates of the current year) in the field of drilling fluids engineering (Drilling Fluid Engineering), in the presence of the Vice President of the University, Dr. And gas, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, a number of heads of scientific departments, and a number of academic and technical assistant staff at the college.

 The training course implemented by Petrofin Oilfield Services Company with the best field experiences and the latest technology and techniques in oil field laboratories, provided by the expert drilling fluids engineer / Abdul Raqib Abdul Rahman Al-Sharif, and it will run from 13 to 18 August, and the drilling fluids engineering course is one of the most important courses in the oil fields because Drilling fluids represent the mainstay for important and vital work during drilling and completion of wells and for their paramount importance in the success and failure of petroleum wells. The field training course aims to provide students with practical knowledge and experience to apply academic education, and real work experiences in the petroleum industry.

 The trainees were distributed to work teams to study specific field cases (Case Study and Well File) to analyze data, design and implement experiments to reach correct results for solving field problems, and present the results in written field reports and presentations by the trainees.

 Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, Vice President of the University, stressed during the inauguration that the university pays special attention to practical training and field application, to achieve excellence for its students in various departments by linking the theoretical side with the practical application and qualifying graduates to the national and international labor market.

 It is noteworthy that during the undergraduate studies of the students of the Department of Oil and Gas at the Emirates International University, the scientific aspect of the practical courses is covered by applying to the latest specialized laboratories available in the department, including laboratories for drilling fluids, completion of petroleum wells, laboratories for the properties of reservoir rocks, laboratories for the properties of petroleum fluids, a geological laboratory, a fluid mechanics laboratory and a computer lab And the latest applications in the petroleum industry.
