 The Department of Architectural Engineering at the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university organized a scientific visit for the students of the second level department to the city and fort of Thala, within the subject of environmental control, accompanied by the subject doctor, Dr. Yasser Al-Nadesh, within the framework of the UAE University’s keenness to link the theoretical side with the practical side, and to provide students with skills and knowledge about...  During the visit, the students learned about the architectural elements in ancient Yemeni buildings, the traditional design that is compatible with the surrounding natural environment, as well as the local building materials used in various building elements, and the ancient construction methods used in Yemeni architecture since the beginning of the Islamic era.
