In an academic setting reflecting intellectual dynamism and profound scholarly discourse, the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Emirates International University witnessed the discussion of a distinguished graduation project by students majoring in International Business Administration. The project, titled “The Role of Strategic Flexibility in Improving Institutional Performance – A Case Study of Emirates International University,” was presented by a select group of ambitious students: Ahmed Mohammed Sultan Al-Zariqi, Jamal Saleh Ali Al-Hanhana, and Qutaiba Daghish Abdul Karim Daghis. It was supervised by Professor Dr. Abdullah Ali Ahmed Al-Qurashi, Professor of Business Administration, and reviewed by a distinguished panel of academics: Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, Dr. Jabr Al-Sunbani, Dr. Fahmi Al-Daqaf, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Rahbi.
This project clearly reflects the advanced academic standards upheld by Emirates International University. It addressed one of the most important contemporary issues in the business and education environment: strategic flexibility and its pivotal role in enhancing institutional performance, especially in light of the rapid changes and competitive challenges facing modern educational institutions.
The study adopted a rigorous scientific methodology, namely the descriptive-analytical approach, relying on precise and reliable research instruments. The instrument's reliability coefficient reached 0.916, a high percentage reflecting the quality and accuracy of the research design. The study also included a sample of university employees, lending the results a realistic dimension that enhances their practical value.
The research findings revealed a high level of strategic flexibility within the university, particularly in the dimensions of resource flexibility and service delivery flexibility. This reflects the institution's ability to adapt and respond effectively to changes in the educational environment. The results also showed that institutional performance ranged from good to average, with a clear advantage in the effectiveness dimension, indicating the efficiency of the university's strategic directions.
This project is not merely an academic requirement; it is a living example of high-quality educational outcomes, embodying the vision of the Emirates International University to prepare qualified personnel equipped with the tools of scientific analysis and the ability to provide realistic and applicable solutions.
