In an academic setting reflecting the depth of scientific excellence and the quality of educational outcomes, Emirates International University witnessed the discussion of a high-quality graduation project by students from the Department of International Business Administration at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences. The project, titled "The Impact of Lean Supply Chain Activities on Logistical Excellence – A Field Study on Private Companies in Sana'a," was presented by students Ghaydaa Mutahhar Ali Al-Dailami, Zainab Abdul-Sattar Mohsen Al-Marqab, Alaa Waleed Mohammed Al-Bousi, Layal Mohammed Ali Aslan, and Alia Adel Ali Samin, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Al-Rahbi. A specialized scientific committee, chaired by the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, and including Dr. Fahmi Al-Daqaf, along with the academic supervisor, was present.
The study reflects the students' advanced academic awareness of the importance of modern transformations in supply chain management. It addressed the concept of "lean supply chains" as one of the most prominent global trends in enhancing operational efficiency and achieving logistical excellence within organizations.
The researchers adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, relying on precise scientific tools, most notably a questionnaire distributed to a sample of employees in various departments of private companies in the capital city of Sana'a. The data was then analyzed using the SPSS statistical software, reflecting a high level of professionalism in employing modern research tools.
The study reached significant conclusions confirming the statistically significant impact of lean supply chain activities—transportation, warehousing, and procurement—on achieving logistical excellence. This supports modern management approaches that aim to improve performance, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
The researchers also recommended the necessity of promoting the adoption of lean management concepts within companies, developing employee capabilities, and focusing on the integrated relationships between the various dimensions of the supply chain to achieve the highest levels of logistical excellence.
This discussion is part of a series of high-quality projects offered by the Emirates International University, through which it affirms its commitment to preparing scientifically and practically qualified personnel capable of meeting the demands of the labor market and making a real difference in local and regional business environments.
This project is not merely academic research; it is a living example of advanced educational outcomes that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, embodying the university's vision of building a generation of leaders and experts capable of innovation and impact.
