In a vivid demonstration of the excellence of educational outcomes and their alignment with market needs, the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Emirati International University witnessed the discussion of a graduation project entitled: "The Impact of Strategic Intelligence on Achieving Competitive Advantage for Yemeni Insurance Companies Operating in Sana'a Governorate."
This research fulfills the requirements for a Bachelor's degree in International Business Administration. It was prepared by students Aws Al-Habishi, Al-Azzi Al-Kouli, Bashar Al-Ashwal, Mohammed Ash'ab, and Mohammed Al-Karshami, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Al-Rahbi. A distinguished scientific committee, chaired by the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kahali, and including Dr. Fahmi Al-Daqaf, along with the academic supervisor, was present.
The project addressed one of the most modern and influential management concepts in the contemporary business environment: "strategic intelligence." It explored its vital dimensions, such as foresight, systems thinking, future vision, partnership, and motivation, and their role in achieving competitive advantage in its various dimensions (quality, cost, delivery, and flexibility).
The researchers adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, employing precise research tools, most notably a questionnaire targeting administrative leaders and employees in insurance companies. This reflects a high level of professionalism in designing applied studies relevant to the market.
The study results demonstrated a statistically significant impact of strategic intelligence on achieving competitive advantage, with the dimensions of "future vision" and "foresight" emerging as crucial elements in enhancing companies' competitiveness.
The study also confirmed that adopting strategic intelligence practices directly contributes to improving the quality of insurance services, reducing operational costs, and increasing companies' market share. This underscores the importance of this approach in building more resilient and sustainable institutions.
The researchers recommended the necessity of establishing a strategic intelligence culture among administrative leaders in insurance companies, enhancing investment in information technology to develop environmental foresight capabilities, and continuously innovating in the design of insurance services that efficiently and flexibly meet evolving customer needs.
This project reflects the advanced academic level of the Emirates International University, whose outputs extend beyond theoretical aspects to include practical solutions and applied studies that contribute to the development of vital sectors in society.
These are high-quality outcomes that embody the university's vision of preparing a generation equipped with strategic thinking skills, capable of driving change, and able to compete confidently in local and regional business environments.
