 The Emirates International University, represented by the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, participated in the Academic Accreditation Council event, which was held this morning, Sunday, Rabi’ Al-Akhir 5, 1444 AH, on medical education between local accreditation and external recognition “challenges and achievements” under the slogan “Global Merit is a National Responsibility and an Academic Mission.”

 

 At the event, the Deputy Prime Minister for National Vision Affairs, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Junaid, expressed his pride in the achievements and development plans of the Academic Accreditation Council, considering the issue of medical education as one of the most important topics that must be taken care of in terms of standards that contribute to the improvement and improvement of this type of medical education. Education to ensure the quality of outputs that meet the needs of the market and contribute to the advancement of the health and medical service provided to the community.

 

 For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hussein Ali Hazeb, stressed the keenness to implement the contents and directions of the national vision related to the axis of creativity, education and scientific research and to overcome most of the difficulties that faced the functioning of the ministry.

 

 The Minister of Higher Education pointed out the importance of the Academic Accreditation Council having exceptional accreditation from the state to accomplish the tasks required of it and to help it meet the requirements of international merit, as this is a national responsibility and an academic task.

 

 In turn, the Chairman of the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Dr. Ahmed Al-Haboub, confirmed that the event aims to introduce the most important achievements made by the Accreditation Council regarding obtaining recognition from the International Federation of Medical Education.

 

 In addition, the national expert, Dr. Noman Fayrouz, presented a brief explanation of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFMI), while the Secretary-General of the Academic Accreditation Council, Dr. Muhammad Daifallah, and the Director-General of Relations in the Council, Dr. Anwar Masoud, reviewed the achievements and steps to Achieved by the accreditation board on the way to obtaining global merit and reaching this stage.

 

 While the international expert, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharjabi, reviewed the challenges facing the progress of implementing the procedures required for recognition by the Academic Accreditation Council in the International Federation of Medical Education, and the proposed solutions and treatments.
