The Department of Clinical Pharmacy, through the department's presidency represented by Dr. Mukhtar Al-Garafi, trained fifth-level students on methods of dealing with medical conditions from the medical reality. Dr. Shawqi Al-Awdi, Training Officer at the forefront of the event, the main focus of the clinical pharmacist’s role in hospitals is a comprehensive idea of disease states and the clinical pharmacist’s role in assisting physicians when evaluating and dispensing medication. The students of the fifth year reviewed one of the pathological cases, which received interaction from the participants, and in a distinct way it showed the role of the clinical pharmacist alongside the doctor in serving the patient as a drug advisor. It is expected that the program will continue during the coming period every Thursday to discuss cases and provide health care services to begin presenting them to hospitals. The presentation and training were attended by the President of the University, Dr. Naguib Al-Kumaim, the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Saleh Al-Dahry, and the Head of the Clinical Department, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kayed, as well as Dr. Abdelbaset Al-Ghouri, Head of the University’s Medical Laboratories Department, and Dr. Saeed Mohamed Saeed.
