The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university organized, today, Thursday, a scientific day to discuss graduation research for students of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy for the academic year 1445 AH corresponding to 2023-2024 AD. In the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufri, the Secretary-General, Professor Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Professor Dr. Saleh Al-Dhahri, the Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi, the Head of the Department of Medical Laboratories, Professor Dr. Abdul-Basit Al-Ghouri, and members of the discussion committees, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Buraihi, Professor Dr. Ali Al-Yahwi, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kabbas. The public discussion was also attended by a number of male and female students from the department and a number of medical departments in the college.
The discussion included a variety of scientific research presented by the department's students, which addressed vital medical issues related to society. The research reflected the creativity and excellence of the department's students, and their efficiency in applying the theoretical knowledge they acquired during their years of study.
During the discussion, the university president, Prof. Nasser Al-Mufri, praised the presented research, stressing the importance of the role of clinical pharmacists in health care, and urged students to continue scientific research and development. He also congratulated the graduates on their success and wished them a bright future in their upcoming academic and professional lives. He also extended his sincere thanks to the department's staff and faculty members for their efforts in preparing and qualifying these students.
For his part, the dean of the college, Prof. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, stressed the importance of this discussion, which reflects the distinguished level of the university's graduates, noting that this research contributes to solving many health problems facing society.
The first group presented their graduation research entitled:
Utilization Pattern of Anticancer Drugs in a National Oncology Center in Sana’a, Yemen for the year 2022 AD
The research was submitted by the students: Yahya Abdo Al-Shamhi, Taha Majeed Al-Jalham, Ayat Yahya Al-Jaki, Manal Ali Abdullah Masoud, Hadeel Hafez Allah Al-Jamali, Samia Yahya Al-Hadidi, Amjad Adel Muhammad Hassan, Nasser Muhammad Al-Safairi, Suleiman Asaad Al-Farah, Asaad Ahmed Al-Dubhi, Abdul Latif Ahmed Samer, Muhammad Mujahid Wahas, and Shamsan Muhammad Al-Suhaiqi. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi and Dr. Abdullah Saad Allah. The fourth group's research was titled: The Prevalence of Depression, Anxiety, and Stress and Their Associated Factors Among University Students in Sana`a, Yemen 2024

The fifth group presented its research entitled: Evaluating Statin Use for Discharged Patients according to ACC/AHA Indications
Evaluating the use of lipid-lowering drugs -statins- for patients who were discharged from the hospital according to the indicators of the American College of Cardiology / American Heart Association (ACC/AHA).
