Today, Thursday, the President of the University inaugurated the workshop (self-evaluation of the pharmacy program in accordance with the standards of academic accreditation and quality assurance). The workshop is scheduled to last for two days, with the presence of the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharib, professors and academics from different departments of pharmacy from outside the university, and a number of academics in various medical specialties, as the specialization serves the health care team, and in the presence of representatives from pharmaceutical factories and from the fields of work of pharmacists and drug control centers . This workshop comes within the university’s plan to develop academic plans in accordance with academic accreditation standards and quality assurance, and the interest of the university, college and clinical pharmacy department to provide requirements that contribute to improving the outcomes of the clinical pharmacy college in the field of good pharmacy practice to enhance the role of pharmacy in improving health care in the community. Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, President of the Emirates International University, has stressed the importance of self-evaluation of all university programs in accordance with the requirements of the Academic Accreditation Council and ensuring the quality of higher education and in line with what is internationally applicable in this field, in a way that enhances the distinguished approach that the university has followed to graduate qualified and armed cadres With the most sophisticated sciences and solid knowledge, enabling university graduates to compete in the local and international labor market efficiently and confidently. The President of the University praised the efforts made by the committee formed for self-evaluation of the program, wishing them to come out with the best results that would achieve the desired goal of holding the workshop. The workshop was attended by the Vice President of the University, Dr. Abdullah Fargh Al-Azazi, the advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Hamdan Al-Shami, the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, and a number of heads of departments and academics at the university.
