The Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university organized this morning a scientific visit for the third-level students of the department to the Saba Pharma Pharmaceutical Factory. In the presence of the department head, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Garafi, the department's coordinator, Dr. Naseem Tawfiq, and the media official. During the visit, the students got acquainted with the various departments and units "production, control, laboratories, inspection, quality, warehouses, machinery, manufacturing devices, analysis devices and quality control" and other units and manufacturing departments of the company. Learn about the steps and stages of drug manufacturing, starting with the entry of materials into the warehouses and ending with their exit as a final product. The students listened to an explanation from the specialized and concerned staff in the various departments about the work mechanism in each department, the production and development workflow at the factory level, departments, production lines, standards, quality and technology used in all departments, the mechanism of control, verification and sterilization, as well as storage and handling of sensitive materials. On the level of pharmaceutical production and on the types that the company is now producing, which exceed 240 types in various fields. The visit comes within the framework of the university's keenness to harmonize the theoretical and practical aspects in the relevant specialized bodies, to provide students with more knowledge and practical experience and raise the level of their scientific and practical skills. At the conclusion of the visit of the first batch of 35 students of the department, the head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharibi, thanked and appreciated the administrative and technical staff working in the factory and the various departments of the company, for their cooperation with the students during the scientific visit. It is scheduled to organize a visit on Thursday for the second batch of 35 students to the various departments and units of the factory.
