The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Hussein Hazeb, inaugurated today, Wednesday, the building of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Emirates International University, accompanied by the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim. The Minister and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the technical equipment and quality laboratories contained in the college, as well as the classrooms, the general conference hall and other facilities in the college building. The Minister praised the developmental steps taken by the university in order to raise the level of higher education, pointing out that the university is one of the universities that follow scientific and practical steps aimed at achieving more excellence. For his part, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, confirmed that this step constitutes a qualitative addition to the development process of the university in implementation of its strategy 2020-2025, which was launched in the middle of last year with the support and sponsorship of the University’s Board of Trustees and the Chairman of the Council, His Excellency Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, in the interest of the University and its leadership to provide education A distinct quality for its students and community service in accordance with local and regional accreditation standards and coinciding with the launch of the University of Quality, Creativity and Excellence. It is noteworthy that the College of Dentistry building, which was inaugurated today, consists of a basement and 6 floors and contains 12 classrooms, a large hall, a conference hall and dental clinics with a capacity of 40 chairs, in addition to the previous clinics that exceed 35 dental chairs, phantom laboratories and other related laboratories, as well as the building containing the offices of the Deanship of The college and administrative offices, reception and offices of faculty members and their assistants in the college. The college building is located near the main educational and administrative buildings of the university.
