As part of promoting creativity and instilling a culture of innovation in university education, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hatem Al-Dais, inaugurated the first innovative science exhibition for students in the Mechatronics Engineering Department at the Emirates International University for the academic year 1447 AH (2025-2026 AD) on Monday, August 4, 2025 AD, at the College of Engineering and Information Technology.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the University President, Professor Khaled Salah; the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Fouad Ismail Hanash; the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Professor Ibrahim Farea; and the heads of academic departments and the college's academic and administrative staff.
In his speech at the launch, Professor Hatem Al-Dais praised the university's distinguished outputs and its clear commitment to enhancing students' applied skills and linking theoretical knowledge with practical experience. He emphasized the importance of these exhibitions in honing innovation and creative thinking skills to keep pace with developments in the labor market. He praised the innovative projects participating in the exhibition, which reflect the university's excellence and qualitative outputs.
For his part, Professor Khaled Salah, President of the University, emphasized that this exhibition reflects the university's academic and applied leadership. He explained that the Emirates International University pays special attention to future specializations such as mechatronics and continuously strives to provide an integrated educational environment that motivates students to be creative, excel, and innovate.
Professor Fouad Ismail Hanash, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Secretary General of the University, pointed out that organizing this scientific exhibition reflects the university's vision of connecting students with practical reality. It is the fruit of integrated efforts between academic departments and faculty members, working towards preparing national cadres capable of making change and contributing to development.
The exhibition featured a number of creative scientific projects by students in the Mechatronics Engineering Department, ranging from smart systems to interactive technologies and innovative engineering solutions. This reflects the college's distinguished output and the quality of its educational programs, which rely on advanced practical and technical training.
During the launch, students participating in the science exhibition were honored for their innovative projects in recognition of their efforts.
