In a creative atmosphere brimming with artistic flair and visual innovation, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Emirates International University witnessed the submission of projects by first-year interior design engineering students in the "Architectural Design 1" course. This foundational course contributes to building design thinking and aesthetic taste among students. This presentation was held under the supervision of Dr. Shura Al Awadhi, the course instructor, and teaching assistant, Engineer Ruqayya Rashid Al Khalifi.

The students presented a variety of projects that reflected their ability to grasp the basic principles of design and employ elements of interior space, color balance, lighting, and aesthetic proportions through freehand drawings, illustrative models, and innovative digital presentations. The projects ranged from simple interior space designs to miniature models that express the aesthetic and functional awareness required by this delicate artistic field.
