A scientific visit for students of the Medical Laboratory Department, fourth level, to the Center for Allergy Immunotherapy and Therapeutic Nutrition

 This Monday morning, the Department of Medical Laboratories at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University organized a scientific visit for the department’s fourth-level students to the Center for Allergy Immunotherapy and Therapeutic Nutrition, within the course of diagnostic clinical immunology, accompanied by the head of the department, Professor Dr. Abdel Baset Al-Ghouri, the department’s teaching assistant, Dr. Hiam Al-Haidari, and the activities officer. Ms. Sahar Al-Kahlani.

 The visit aimed to learn about desensitization treatment techniques and procedures, and to acquire practical skills in this field.

 The students were received by Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Malik Al-Shaibani, Executive Director of the Center, who accompanied the students on a tour of the Center’s various facilities, and gave them a detailed explanation of the concept of allergy, its causes and types, the important tests for allergic diseases and their conduct, the scientific basis for desensitization, the different types of treatment available, and the rates of treatment. Expected success, possible side effects, desensitization treatment techniques, and how to apply them. The students also learned about the nature of work at the center and the services it provides, as it is one of the most important specialized centers in this field.

 Dr. Muhammad Al-Shaibani, Director of the Center, expressed his happiness at the visit of the students of the Laboratory Department at the UAE University, stressing the Center’s keenness to provide them with all information and support, with the aim of helping them gain more knowledge and experience in the field of allergy immunotherapy.”

 For his part, the head of the laboratory department, Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Ghouri, pointed out the department’s keenness to provide students with the latest technologies used in diagnosing immune and allergic diseases, which have a major role in serving our Yemeni society and providing students with skills that will benefit them in their professional lives and that qualify them for the national and regional labor market, so that they will be able to provide Distinctive medical service for patients.

 At the conclusion of the visit, the students thanked the center’s management for the good reception and valuable information they received, stressing the importance of this visit in gaining them more knowledge and experience in the field of allergy immunotherapy.
