A scientific visit for the sixth-level students of the Clinical Pharmacy Department to the Modern Pharmaceutical Factory as part of the Industrial Pharmacy course

The Clinical Pharmacy Department at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university organized a scientific visit for the sixth-level students of the department this morning, Wednesday, to the Modern Pharmaceutical Factory as part of the Industrial Pharmacy course, accompanied by Dr. Naseem Tawfiq, the academic coordinator of the department, and Dr. Roaa Al-Sarouri, the department's teaching assistant.

During the visit, the students learned about the various departments and units "production, control, laboratories, inspection, quality, warehouses, machines, manufacturing devices, analysis devices, quality control" and other units and manufacturing departments affiliated with the company. They learned about the steps and stages of drug manufacturing, starting with the entry of materials into the warehouses and ending with their exit as a final product.

They listened to an explanation from the specialized and concerned staff in the various departments about the work mechanism in each department and the workflow of manufacturing, production and development at the factory level, departments and production lines, standards, quality and technology followed in all departments, the mechanism of control, stability and sterilization, as well as storage and handling of sensitive materials. At the level of drug production and the items that the company now produces. 

The students expressed their happiness with the visit, and considered it a useful experience to link the theoretical aspect with the practical. They also expressed their thanks to all the staff in the company and its management for the warm reception and providing the opportunity for the students to learn about the various aspects of work and manufacturing in the factory. 

The visit comes within the framework of the university's keenness to harmonize the theoretical and practical aspects in the relevant specialized bodies, to provide students with more knowledge and practical experience and raise the level of their scientific and practical skills.
