Today, Monday morning, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Moufari, President of the University, chaired an expanded meeting at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences to follow up on the needs of the educational process, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Saleh Al Dhaheri, the Secretary General of the University, Dr. Fouad Hanash, the Vice Dean of the College, Head of the Department of Human Medicine, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Abdel-Moghni, and the Head of The Department of Medical Laboratories, Prof. Dr. Abdel Baset Al-Ghouri, the Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi, a number of heads of scientific departments, faculty members and their assistants, the college's administrative and technical staff, and the University Student Forum.
Where the meeting began with a speech by the President of the University, who praised the distinguished level of the Faculty of Medicine in its various specializations, and expressed his happiness at attending the meeting with a distinguished academic staff that the University is proud of. He also stressed the need to listen to the proposals of the faculty staff that seek to develop the educational process.
The university president indicated that the university is keen to provide all capabilities and support to the college, in order to achieve comprehensive quality in medical education, and to prepare graduates with a high level of distinction who contribute to community service, and are able to compete in the local and regional labor market with all merit and confidence.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, and the heads of the scientific departments had submitted some proposals to develop the educational process in the college, and work to enhance the clinical skills of students of medical specialties through training and practical application. A chronic plan to modernize the rest of the college's laboratories, and it has been approved to start implementing a number of free specialized training courses for college students in various disciplines.
After the meeting, the President of the University, the Secretary-General and the Dean of the College visited a number of medical laboratories and listened to an explanation from the specialists about the nature of the work of each laboratory.
