In a scientific achievement that embodies academic excellence and technical innovation, a group of Information Security students from the College of Engineering at the Emirates International University discussed a unique graduation project. The project aims to design an advanced security system for security reports. The system aims to support security agencies in combating crime and enhance cooperation between official bodies, utilizing the latest cybersecurity and artificial intelligence technologies.
The project focuses on developing a smart system to receive security reports from citizens using their national ID numbers and serial numbers of devices and weapons. The system will then be immediately disseminated to all security checkpoints, checkpoints, and commercial points of sale across the country. It also enables merchants and shop owners to verify the source of devices and avoid purchasing stolen goods, directly contributing to reducing crime and recovering lost property.
The project features an advanced security control panel that enables efficient system management, authorization, and the monitoring and analysis of digital behavior to predict potential risks. This is achieved using specialized security tools and advanced database protection techniques, enhancing the system's effectiveness in combating cyber threats and ensuring the integrity of sensitive data.
The project discussion was attended by a number of university leaders, including: Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary General of the University; Dr. Ibrahim Farea, Dean of the College of Engineering; Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance; Dr. Jameel Rashid, Head of the Cybersecurity Department; Dr. Mohammed Al-Alafi, Head of the Medical Equipment Engineering Department; Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi, Head of the Information Technology Department; Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department; Dr. Hisham Aqlan and Dr. Mohammed Al-Khawlani, faculty members at the college; and Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department.
Secretary-General Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash and the attendees praised the project's level of innovation and integration of security and software. They emphasized that such outcomes embody the university's vision of providing applied education that keeps pace with technological changes and contributes to developing effective and realistic solutions to societal problems.
Through its students' projects, the Emirates International University affirms its academic leadership and its constant commitment to graduating quality cadres capable of serving the nation.
