In the presence of the President of the University, Dr. Najib Al-Kumaim, a mini-workshop was held at the university today, Wednesday, to discuss the final preparations for the launch of the strategy of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences 2025. The workshop reviewed the aspects related to the results of the context survey related to the strategy of the college and participating colleges in accordance with the standards of the World Federation for Medical Education WFME document and the document of standards for special accreditation for medical programs issued by the Academic Accreditation Council and Quality Assurance of Education of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Yemen. The holding of the preparatory workshop comes as a culmination of the work program launched by the university presidency to prepare the strategy of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences in implementation of the outputs of the university’s strategy 2025, which aims to reach the university to the refineries of advanced and prestigious universities accredited at the local and regional levels. It is worth noting that the Emirates International University in Yemen is considered the first university in Yemen that seeks, according to practical steps, to implement the standards of private accreditation for medical programs, which were approved after the workshop that was attended by the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in partnership with the Emirates International University. The workshop, which was facilitated by the strategic expert, Prof. Noman Fayrouz, was attended by: Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Hassan Abdel-Mughni, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Saleh Al Dhaheri, and Director General of Quality at the University, Prof. Ahmed Al-Mawry, and representatives of the Quality Department at the university and colleges, including Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, Dr. Maha Al-Muntaser, and Professor Jamila Al-Sharjabi, Director General of Strategic Planning at the university.
