Emirates International University: An Active Partner in Raising Community Awareness... and its Students Shine in the National Autism Awareness and Early Diagnosis Campaign

In a tangible manifestation of its humanitarian mission and unwavering commitment to community service, Emirates International University participated as an active partner in the national awareness and early diagnosis campaign for autism spectrum disorder, "Awareness and Celebration," implemented by the Abni Autism Center in partnership with the Bunyan Development Foundation and under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Environment.

The campaign witnessed a distinguished and active presence of Emirates International University students, who contributed with a high spirit of volunteerism to the success of the campaign's activities. Student teams were deployed to targeted parks in the capital city, including Al Wahda Park, Fun City, the Zoo, Al Thawra Park, and Al Sabeen Park, to participate in providing community services and awareness to families and children.

 University students made significant contributions by raising community awareness about the importance of early detection and intervention for autism spectrum disorder, participating in screening and assessment procedures, providing support and guidance to families, and contributing to activities aimed at promoting the social inclusion of children with autism.

This participation stems from the Emirates International University's belief in its social role and its responsibility to prepare academic and professional leaders who combine scientific excellence with humanitarian awareness, and who contribute effectively to addressing societal issues and supporting national initiatives with a sustainable impact.

This participation affirmed that the Emirates International University does not confine itself to creating knowledge within the classroom, but extends its mission to the field, where its students make a real difference through volunteer work and humanitarian initiatives that promote the values of giving, solidarity, and social responsibility.
