A field visit for female chemical engineering students to the International Pharmaceutical Industries Company and the Modern Pharmaceutical Company enhances practical learning.

The Department of Chemical Engineering in the College of Engineering at the Emirates International University organized a field visit for female students to the International Pharmaceutical Industries Company and the Modern Pharmaceutical Company. The students were accompanied by the Head of the Department, Professor Hani Damaj. This visit reflects the university's commitment to linking academic and practical aspects and enhancing students' knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.

During the visit, which was received by Dr. Zakaria Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the students were introduced to the various stages of pharmaceutical manufacturing, starting with the reception of raw materials, through the various production lines, including weighing, mixing, and calibration according to precise standard criteria, and ending with the filling and packaging processes. They also learned about quality control mechanisms and advanced laboratory tests that ensure the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical products.

The students listened to a detailed explanation from the company's engineers and technicians about the technologies used in the production lines and the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards in ensuring drug quality and compliance with international specifications.

 For their part, the students expressed their happiness with this experience, which provided them with a tangible opportunity to learn about the industrial work environment in the pharmaceutical industry. They emphasized that the visit provided them with practical experience that supported their theoretical studies in the classroom.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Hani Damaj, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, extended his thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Modern Pharmaceutical Company and all the engineers, technicians, and employees at the company for their warm interaction with the students and for providing them with information that helped them connect practical and theoretical aspects.

This visit comes within the framework of the academic activities organized by the department to enhance students' skills and provide them with practical experience that qualifies them to meet the needs of the labor market in various fields.
