The College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Emirates International University continues to discuss its students' graduation projects for the academic year 1446 AH (2024-2025 AD), amid a vibrant and innovative academic atmosphere. Since the beginning of last week, the college halls have hosted successive sessions to present graduation projects, reflecting the distinguished research and academic efforts of students under the supervision of a select group of faculty members.
The projects presented today varied across the disciplines of information security and information technology. The attendees included the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Farea; the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Dr. Jameel Rashid; the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Farouq Al-Fuhaidi; and a number of faculty members. The projects presented focused on innovative technological solutions that meet the needs of society and keep pace with modern scientific developments, such as smart city systems, artificial intelligence technologies, infrastructure improvement, and other related topics.
Today, several projects were discussed, as follows:
The first group from the Information Security Department presented their project, the Cyber Pass password management program. The project was submitted by students: Hossam Tariq Zayed, Mohammed Hassan Al-Mahwiti, Hashem Hassan Al-Madani, Abdullah Fathi Al-Amri, and Ali Ali Ismail. It was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Jameel Rashid and Assistant Supervisor Engineer Basil Ba Sardah.
Project Summary: With the rise of cyber threats, protecting personal data has become critical. Passwords play a crucial role in this context, as they serve as the key to accessing our various accounts, putting our digital security at risk.
This project aims to provide a practical solution to this problem by developing a password management system (Cyber Pass), highlighting the importance of proper password management, and offering innovative technical solutions to enhance information security.
The second group from the Information Technology Department presented their project, the "Aman Taxi App." The project was submitted by students: Al-Hassan Makki Ali Ahmed Ghadr, Amjad Abdulrab Mohammed Ahmed Al-Maqdashi, Amjad Nofal Abdul-Jalil Mohammed Makrad, Taha Nabil Hamoud Abdullah Al-Qaili, Fouad Wahib Mohammed Abdo Al-Saghir Al-Ariqi, and Abdullah Faisal Majli Abdullah Majli. It was supervised by Dr. Mohammed Al-Khawlani and Engineer Samia Al-Idrisi.
Project Summary: Towards a Safe and Smart Future for Transportation in Yemen. In light of the challenges facing the transportation sector, particularly with regard to women's safety and privacy, our "Aman Taxi" project emerged as a pioneering idea aiming to bring about a qualitative shift in taxi booking services in Sana'a. What distinguishes the application is that it combines social and technical aspects, opening the doors to professional empowerment for women through work as drivers. It also enhances the culture of safety and trust in transportation, leveraging technologies such as:
GPS - artificial intelligence - data analysis - cloud computing - encryption and security.
The third group from the Information Technology Department presented their project, the "Yemen Booking" platform and application. The project was submitted by students: Majd Al-Din Salah Al-Madhaji, Aseel Ali Nasser Abdrabuh Al-Ja'mali, Ahmed, Yassin Abdul Hamid Mujahid, Osama Musaed Muhammad Ali Badr, Abu Bakr Omar Ali Othman Al-Razihi, and Osama Abdul Rab Majli Abdullah. It was supervised by Dr. Mukhtar Ghailan and Eng. Samia Al-Idrisi.
Project Summary: The project provides a unified, smart, and secure user experience for both the customer and the business owner, utilizing advanced technologies such as:
RESTful API, Flutter, Firebase, SQL Server, data encryption, real-time verification algorithms, and artificial intelligence. This makes it the nucleus of a true digital transformation in the field of online booking in Yemen.
This step comes as part of the university's commitment to supporting scientific research, developing students' capabilities, and enhancing their readiness for the job market by integrating academic knowledge with practical applications.
