Mission

The mission of the department is to provide students with modern technology of oil and gas engineering through a commitment to excellence in its educational academic programs, advanced research capabilities, enabling graduates to compete and excel in the local and regional labor market. It prepares students to assume roles in leadership, responsibility and service to society.

Objectives

• Provide educational program to produce quality engineers.
• Provide an environment which will enable students and department members to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and innovative practice of Oil and Gas engineering.
• To establish and develop scientific research capabilities to create capabilities for development of knowledge, skills and competencies for continuous self-education.
• To establish real connection with the various units of the oil and gas industry to achieve the link between the theoretical and practical knowledge gained at the department.
• To provide students with the technical experience and skills needed to design, analyze and decision making in a scientific manner.
• To contribute effectively to the development of the society and respond to the continuous development challenges.

I welcome   unique visitors to the website of Department of Oil and Gas Engineering at Emirates International University .  It is worth noting that oil and gas engineering combines the natural and engineering sciences necessary to design, operate and manage exploratory and productive operations, and evaluate and develop oil and gas fields, as the oil and gas sector is considered a vital sector and of utmost importance in supporting national economies in producing countries, and in many of them it constitutes a stone. It is the basis for building these economies, and even the main nerve for producing the energy needed for other industries in the world, and providing raw materials for them, especially in the field of petrochemicals . The study in Department of Oil and Gas at  Emirates International  University is distinguished by the availability of the latest specialized laboratories required to implement the practical part for 8 specialized courses within  22 specialized courses that have been described within an academic program that meets national academic standards and international engineering standards (ABET). The educational process in the department is managed by an elite group of Specialized cadres with distinguished competencies and field experience to achieve the objectives of the academic program and meet the graduate’s specifications.
