From classrooms to the skyline of modern cities: Civil Engineering students at Emirates International University showcase their innovative design for the "Modernity Residential Tower"

In an academic display embodying engineering excellence and a spirit of innovation, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Emirates International University witnessed the discussion of a unique graduation project by students from the Civil Engineering Department. Titled "Design of the Modernity Residential Tower," the project reflects the high level of scientific and applied training possessed by the university's students and their ability to translate academic knowledge into practical engineering solutions that meet future demands.

 

The project, created by students Awad Mohammed Maarabi, Mujtaba Alawi Al-Aidaroos, and Wadih Kamal Al-Najjar, presents a comprehensive engineering model for a modern, earthquake-resistant residential tower. It was designed according to engineering principles and standards that prioritize safety, sustainability, and structural efficiency, reflecting the students' advanced engineering awareness and their ability to handle complex urban development projects with high professionalism.

 

 The project consists of a ten-story residential tower. The basement is dedicated to storage, while the ground floor and upper floors contain modern apartments. The basement and ground floor each have a total area of 973.16 square meters, and the upper floors have the same area, all within a balanced architectural design that combines aesthetic beauty with functional efficiency.

 

The project was completed under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri. The examining committee consisted of Professor Dr. Sulaiman Al-Safi, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amri, and Engineer Saddam Hussein, who commended the project's scientific and technical level and the advanced skills demonstrated by the students in analysis, design, and the application of modern engineering standards.

 

This project underscores the significant attention the Emirates International University gives to applied education and aligning its outcomes with labor market needs. This is achieved through a stimulating academic environment, distinguished faculty, and educational programs that focus on developing engineers capable of creativity, innovation, and contributing to a more advanced and secure urban future.
