In an academic setting reflecting the dynamism of innovation and the quality of educational outcomes, the Information Technology Department at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Emirates International University, witnessed the discussion of a distinguished graduation project by a group of students: "An Electronic Application for Managing Sales and Purchases via Electronic Mediation."

 

The project was developed by a select group of creative students: Mohammed Abdullah Al-Arousi, Mohammed Abdul Qader Al-Suraihi, Mohammed Mohammed Al-Wasabi, Mushtaq Mohammed Al-Jamal, and Mohammed Hussein Al-Sayaghi, under the specialized academic supervision of Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al-Kholani, and in the presence of a scientific discussion committee comprised of a distinguished group of professors: Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi, Dr. Jamil Rashid, Dr. Hisham Aqlan, and Dr. Omar Al-Najjar.

 

 The project distinguished itself by presenting an advanced technological vision aimed at developing a hybrid e-commerce platform. This platform combines the digital retail model with the peer-to-peer (P2P) open market model within a unified digital system. This addresses one of the most prominent challenges in the Yemeni market: the lack of integration between different e-commerce models.

 

Through their project, the students presented an innovative solution based on trusted digital intermediaries. The platform acts as a secure and neutral intermediary, ensuring the organization of commercial transactions, fostering trust among users, and mitigating the risks associated with unregulated transactions. This represents a qualitative leap in the local digital commerce landscape.

 

The project's excellence wasn't limited to the concept; it extended to the system's technical infrastructure. It adopted the concept of integrating the entire e-commerce lifecycle, from product listing and negotiation to payment and delivery, within a seamless and interconnected digital experience. This integration contributes to increased operational efficiency, reduced complexity, and a significantly improved user experience.

 

 The project also stands out for empowering users to engage in business activities flexibly, whether as sellers or buyers, within a secure digital environment that supports digital entrepreneurship and opens new horizons for the local economy.

 

This project reflects the advanced academic qualifications of IT students, combining a deep scientific foundation with practical applications relevant to market needs.
