As part of the Emirates International University's commitment to strengthening constructive communication between its academic leadership and students, the university leadership held an expanded meeting today, Thursday, with first-level representatives in all specializations of the College of Engineering and Information Technology. The meeting aimed to listen to students' opinions, comments, and suggestions regarding the progress of the educational process and academic services at the college.
The meeting was attended by the University's Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, who emphasized in his speech the importance of these periodic meetings in fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility among students. He noted that student voices are an essential part of the university's continuous development and improvement process.
Dr. Sharaf Al Hamdi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, also spoke at the meeting, discussing the university's efforts to enhance academic performance and ensure the quality of educational outcomes. He called on the representatives to convey observations objectively to serve the development of engineering programs.
In turn, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, delivered a speech welcoming the delegates. He praised their effective role in representing their colleagues and conveying their views to the college administration. He emphasized that continuous communication with students is the primary pillar of achieving a stimulating and creative learning environment.
The heads of the college's academic departments also participated in the meeting, listening to the delegates' comments and affirming their commitment to following up on all proposals and working to study them to enhance the quality of engineering education.
