Conclusion of the Advanced Training Course on Enhanced Oil Recovery Techniques Using the MBAL Program for Oil and Gas Engineering Students

The specialized training course titled "Computer Applications in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Using the MBAL Program" concluded today, Tuesday, at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Department of Oil and Gas Engineering. The course was organized by the Training and Qualification Center in cooperation with the college and lasted for three days.

The course, presented by Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Raqib Al-Qadi, Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Hadhramout University, and hosted by the Emirates International University, aimed to enhance the competency of third- and fourth-year students in the Oil and Gas Engineering Department and equip them with theoretical concepts and practical skills in the field of enhanced oil recovery techniques using the MBAL program, which specializes in reservoir simulation and production performance analysis.

The training program included multiple topics, including an introduction to enhanced oil recovery techniques and their advantages, and practical application on field models using realistic data. This provided students with the opportunity to simulate the actual challenges facing engineers at production sites.

 At the conclusion of the course, participants expressed their great benefit from the training content, emphasizing the importance of these practical programs in enhancing their professional readiness and linking theory with practical application.
