Oil and Gas Department Students Conduct a Geological Field Trip to Enhance Applied Education

As part of the UAEU's commitment to enhancing practical learning and linking theoretical knowledge with practical reality, the Oil and Gas Department at the College of Engineering conducted a geological field trip for second-year students. Under the supervision of the College Dean, the trip to several geological sites around Sana'a and Amran Governorate was accompanied by Dr. Walid Qasim.

The trip aimed to develop students' practical skills, enable them to study rock formations and geological phenomena in the wild, and apply the scientific concepts they had learned in classrooms.

The trip included several diverse stops, during which students had the opportunity to observe, analyze, and compare different geological features. Field discussions were also facilitated by accompanying academic supervisors.

The students expressed their happiness with this experience, noting its importance in enhancing their understanding of geological concepts. The department's leaders affirmed their commitment to continuing to implement such educational initiatives that contribute to the development of distinguished competencies in the field of oil and gas.
