The College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university continues to discuss a number of student graduation projects in the departments of Mechatronics and Civil Engineering, in the presence of the Dean of the College and Head of the Mechatronics Department, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, and the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Ahmed Al-Wazaf. Where projects submitted by mechatronics engineering students, group one, entitled: Design and implementation of Tool changer for CNC machine It is a machine consisting of several heads, namely: the 3D printer head; The other head is a laser head; The third head is the milling sculpture head; The switch between these heads is done automatically through the "Tool changer" according to the user's need for the head. If the user wants to use the 3D printer to print plastic forms, he chooses the head by pressing the "pushbutton" and the head changes. Or that he selects the head from the computer through a software interface with a specific button for that, and so on for the rest of the laser heads; The one who burns to draw shapes or images on wood or plastic, and Milling, who sculpts shapes and images on wood and controls them via the computer. The project was presented by the students: Zakaria Abdel-Khaleq Al-Hamran, Abdel-Nasser Saleh Dahanan, Saeed Adel Al-Shaibani, Fouad Hadi Al-Matari and Ali Salem Al-Rutab. It is supervised by Dr. Hatem Al-Dais and Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi. The second student group project was a robot that delivers orders or things you want to deliver to the desired location within the work environment. The robot is equipped with artificial intelligence, self-learning, and obstacle avoidance. The robot draws a map of the work environment and then saves the map in a file for the saved maps, or the work environment (the map) is downloaded to the maps file. When you want to run the robot first, call the work environment you want to work on and then select the place you want to deliver orders to within the work environment. Then the robot delivers the orders to the place you want it. And the main controller of the Ripspery Pi robot, along with other controllers such as Arduino. The robot is used in hospitals to deliver food and medicine to patient rooms, especially if there is an infection such as Corona. It is also used in hotels to provide needs to hotel rooms, as well as in restaurants and other places. The project was presented by the students: Osama Al-Hamdani, Amin Al-Azazi, Jaber Noaman and Muhammad Al-Zalb. It is supervised by Dr. Hatem Al-Dais and Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi. A project for students from the Department of Civil Engineering was also discussed, which is a seismic study of a multi-storey concrete structure, a residential and commercial building, which is a building consisting of two blocks, and each block has a basement that is used as car parking and the ground floor is used as shops in addition to an apartment extension and the rest of the floors are apartments residential. The project was presented by the students: Abdullah Masoud Al-Dabbani, Osama Ahmed Al-Samawi and Abdul-Jalil Khaled Al-Arami. And the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Al-Wazaf. And Dr. Nazmi Muhammad Al-Mikhlafi, the project’s discussant.
